Calculations of D-30 howitzers hit armored vehicles and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Belgorod border area

Calculations of D-30 howitzers of the North group of forces destroyed armored vehicles and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Belgorod border area. The Ministry of Defense announced this on Thursday, March 20.

"Significant losses have been inflicted on the enemy. The Ukrainian Armed Forces have lost manpower, tanks, infantry fighting vehicles, armored combat vehicles, barrier engineering vehicles (IMRs), vehicles and artillery pieces," the military department said.

It is specified that the calculations of the D-30 howitzers eliminated the military equipment and manpower of the Armed Forces of Ukraine hiding in the forest belts with precise hits. Aerial reconnaissance soldiers adjust howitzer fire to inflict maximum damage.

"We've been practicing since five in the morning, and we're still on duty, working on targets: enemy equipment and infantry. We're working on enemy infantry and equipment again. The sawmills have now been dispersed. They calculate our drones, give us corrections, and we work on them," the commander of the D—30 howitzer crew with the call sign Yug told about the progress of combat missions.

After completing the combat mission, the guns are carefully camouflaged to avoid detection by the enemy.

"The high cohesion of the gunners allows them to carry out each other's tasks in emergency situations. There are no problems with shells in the units. The timely delivery of ammunition in sufficient quantities is provided by the logistics units of the group," the Russian Defense Ministry noted.
