The FSB prevented a terrorist attack near the Mariupol administration building

Employees of the Russian FSB directorate for the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) were able to detain an attacker who planned to detonate an improvised explosive device near the building of the Primorsky Administration in Mariupol. This was announced on March 20 by the press service of the department.
"A criminal case has been opened under clauses "b" of Part 3 of Article 222.1 and Part 3 of Article 205.1 of the Criminal Code of Russia ("Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of explosives or explosive devices" and "Assistance to terrorist activities")," the FSB said.
At the moment, it is known that to create explosives, the detainee used components that he took from pre-prepared caches.
"He picked up a package with explosives, headed towards the Primorsky Administration, where he was immediately detained by FSB officers," he said during the interrogation, the footage of which is published by the agency.
On March 13, FSB officers prevented a series of terrorist attacks against the military and officials of the Russian Federation using booby-trapped perfume kits sent by mail. The ministry added that a Russian citizen, born in 2003, who was recruited by the Ukrainian special services, was detained and sent these parcels to military personnel and officials living in Moscow, Voronezh, as well as in the Krasnodar Territory and Saratov Region for a monetary reward.
