- Bastrykin requested a report on the investigation into the deaths of two children in Shcherbinka

Chairman of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation Alexander Bastrykin demanded a report on the progress of the inspection in connection with the discovery of the bodies of two children in a pond in Shcherbinka. This was reported on March 19 in the Telegram channel of the department.
"The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia will be presented with a report on the criminal case of the deaths of two children in Moscow," the publication says.
A criminal case is being investigated into the incident under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Causing death by negligence").
The discovery of the bodies of an eight-year-old boy and a seven-year-old girl in a pond became known earlier that day. No signs of violent death were found. It is assumed that the children went out onto the ice of the reservoir, after which they fell through it. As a result, they were unable to swim out on their own and they drowned.
