"According to preliminary data, in the area of the Sverdlov settlement, the Svetly-22 cargo ship started moving along the river. Currently, the vessel is drifting under the influence of currents and ice," the agency said in a message on its Telegram channel.
Rescue services have been dispatched to the scene. In addition, the Leningrad-Finnish Transport Prosecutor's Office is conducting an audit of the implementation of legislation on the safety of navigation.
