Russian national team players defeated Grenada in a friendly match

The Russian national football team defeated the national team of Grenada in a friendly match. The match took place on Wednesday, March 19, at the VTB Arena in Moscow and ended with a score of 5:0.

In the first half, national team midfielder Danil Prutsev opened the scoring in the 16th minute. Defender Arsen Adamov and striker Artyom Dzyuba scored in the 42nd and 43rd minutes, respectively.

Daniil Fomin (53rd minute) and Zelimkhan Bakayev (60th minute) scored in the second half of the match, writes Sport-Express.

36-year-old Dzyuba scored his record goal and became the top scorer in the history of the national team.

On March 13, the Russian Football Union (RFU) announced that Dzyuba had joined the Russian national team for friendly matches against Grenada and Zambia. He last played for the national team in June 2021 in the European Championship match against Denmark.
