- Vucic announced his resignation in case of confirmation of the data on the "sound cannon"

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said in an interview with TV Pink on March 19 that he would resign if information about the use of a "sound cannon" by police officers at protests in Belgrade was confirmed.
"If our forces used a sonic cannon, <...> whatever you want to call it, I'm not the president anymore," Vucic said, according to Nova.
Earlier, on March 17, Serbian Prime Minister Milos Vucevic announced that the country was ready to involve Russian and American intelligence agencies in investigating the alleged use of a "sound cannon" by law enforcement officers at protests.
The demonstrations began in Belgrade in the early morning of March 15. The protest action of students involves blocking key points of the Serbian capital. According to the latest data from the country's president, 56 people were injured during the protests. The reason for the start of anti-government rallies in November 2024 was the death of 15 people as a result of the collapse of the canopy of the railway station in Novi Sad.
