- Stavropol region will receive 5 billion rubles for the development of agriculture

The head of the Stavropol Territory, Vladimir Vladimirov, and the Minister of Agriculture of Russia, Oksana Lut, discussed the agricultural sector in the region, its development and support measures. In 2025, 5 billion rubles will be allocated for these purposes, according to the governor's social networks.
"He told me that spring field work is currently in full swing in the region. Farmers have started sowing early spring crops, and we plan to sow more than 900,000 hectares with them," Vladimirov said, adding that work is underway to fertilize winter crops.
The parties also discussed issues of import substitution in the seed industry, writes IA StavropolMedia. According to the governor, now all the grain sown in the region is of Russian breeding. This year, the region expects to switch to domestic seeds of corn, sugar beet and sunflower.
"There is a potential for this, including scientific and technological. To do this, we are expanding our partnership with our agrarian University, which provides serious support in the development of agriculture," summed up the head of Stavropol.
Earlier it was reported that artificial rains will be caused in March and April in the Stavropol Territory using the Roshydromet laboratory aircraft. This is necessary to save the crop from drought.
