Musk has adjusted his forecast for the colonization of Mars

American entrepreneur, founder of SpaceX and head of the U.S. Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) Elon Musk has adjusted forecasts for the colonization of Mars and extended its timeframe to 30 years. He posted the corresponding post on March 19 on his account on the social network X (formerly Twitter).
"At best, 20 years, but perhaps closer to 30," the entrepreneur wrote.
This is how Musk commented on the publication of user X, who cited the entrepreneur's opinion that in 20 years the population of Mars will be 1 million people.
On March 17, Musk announced that humans could set foot on Mars in 5-7 years. He also clarified that the key issue of colonization is whether the level of technological development of mankind will be sufficient for the independent development of the planet in the event of the termination of the arrival of ships from Earth.
In turn, on March 15, Kirill Dmitriev, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), proposed to the American entrepreneur to organize a joint flight of Russia and the United States to Mars in 2029.
