The Ministry of Defense showed footage of soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces returned from captivity.

The Russian Defense Ministry has released footage of the return of Russian servicemen from captivity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) as part of an exchange held on March 19.

In the video, the soldiers board the bus and thank for their release. Mediation in the return of the Russian military was provided by the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

In 2.5 hours, the leaders of the two countries also discussed the situation in the Middle East and cooperation in the field of sports.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that 175 servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces (AF) had been returned from the territory controlled by Ukraine. In return, 175 prisoners of war of the Armed Forces of Ukraine were transferred. Moscow also handed over to Kiev 22 seriously wounded prisoners of war who need urgent treatment.
