Kalashnikov Concern has introduced the new Krona air defense system to the customer

The Kalashnikov Concern presented to the customer fully functional mock-up models of the combat module of the new short-range anti-aircraft missile system (SAM) Krona. This was announced on March 19 on the company's website.
Alan Lushnikov, CEO of the concern and a member of the bureau of the Russian Engineering Union, explained that the idea of creating Krona arose after analyzing the experience of dealing with large and small unmanned aerial vehicles in the special operation zone.
"The experience gained in countering large and small enemy UAVs during the special operation led us to the idea of creating a new maneuverable and highly automated complex that is able to effectively counter even the most difficult targets," he stressed.
Earlier, the concern presented an export version of the Krona-E complex at the IDEX 2025 International Arms and Defense Technology exhibition in Abu Dhabi in February. The development was created to protect key government facilities, urban infrastructure, strategically important structures, as well as special cargo in their storage areas from air strikes, she added."Газета.Ru ".
Earlier, on February 21, it was reported that the latest development of the Kalashnikov concern, RPL—20 5.45 mm light machine guns, had already appeared in the special operation zone. The weapon is designed to support assault units and fire from an unstable position — in a confined space, mountainous or wooded area.
