China unveiled a humanoid robot with AI for $27.5 thousand.

A Chinese company has begun accepting pre-orders for a humanoid robot equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) worth 199,000 yuan ($27,500), capable of deftly manipulating hands and walking. This was reported on March 19 by the Kyodo News agency.
The Dobot Atom robot, created by Dobot, can cook breakfast, pour milk, toast bread and bring boxes. This is evidenced by a video posted by the company last week.
It is noted that the height of the humanoid is 153 cm, and the weight is 62 kg. The startup, founded in 2015 and with overseas offices in Japan, Germany and the United States, announced the start of pre-order sales on Tuesday, March 18.
In December last year, it was reported that it has become popular in China to buy pets with built-in AI. Zhang Yi, CEO of the iiMedia Research Institute, said that such companion robots have high commercial potential due to their "cute" appearance. In addition, they are capable of learning, do not require special care and daily walks.
