Deptrans named the most evacuated cars without license plates in Moscow

Since the beginning of the year, the Moscow Parking tow trucks have moved 313 parked cars to special parking lots, which lacked state registration plates or had fake license plates installed. The Metropolitan Department of Transport announced this in its Telegram channel on March 19. Most often, cars without BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Lada license plates were left in parking lots.
The Department of Transport said that the inspector calls a tow truck if he sees a suspicious car without license plates or with plates that show signs of forgery. Cars that cannot be identified may pose a potential threat, be stolen or used for criminal purposes, the department noted.
Maxim Liksutov, Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport, recalled that Moscow Parking tow trucks have been moving cars with removed or forged license plates to special parking lots by decision of the Anti-Terrorist Commission since 2017.
On March 7, it was reported that inspectors from the Moscow Administrative Road Inspectorate (MADI) would strengthen control on four streets of the capital from March 10. As Maxim Liksutov noted, strengthening control on these city streets will increase their capacity and reduce the number of emergencies.
Prior to that, on March 3, Deptrans reported that last winter, tow trucks from the Moscow Parking lot moved almost 10,000 premium-class cars to special parking lots.
