A local resident was detained in Ingushetia on suspicion of assisting members of an international terrorist organization. This was announced on March 19 in the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.

"In his house, he sheltered persons wanted for an armed attack on law enforcement officers in the Republic of Ingushetia and the Republic of North Ossetia–Alania. The man also provided them with food and transport services," said the official representative of the department, Irina Volk, quoted by the portal MIA Media.

It is noted that employees of the Center for Countering Extremism of the Regional Ministry of Internal Affairs, the republican FSB and the temporary task force of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation detained the man at his place of residence.

A criminal case has been opened under Articles 33 and 208 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Complicity in a crime", "Organization of an illegal armed group or participation in it"). The suspect has been taken into custody.

Earlier that day, it was reported that employees of the Federal Security Service of Russia in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol detained a man who called for joining the terrorist organizations "Freedom of Russia Legion" and "Russian Volunteer Corps" (RDK) banned in the Russian Federation.
