German Defense Minister comments on Russia's demands on Ukraine

Russia's demands on the conflict in Ukraine are unacceptable. This was announced on March 19 by German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius on the ZDF TV channel.
"This is unacceptable. A cease—fire is not a peace deal. The conclusion of peace presupposes guarantees of peace," he said.
Pistorius added that the issue of peace guarantees has not yet been reached. According to him, at the moment we are talking about a cease-fire, and under these circumstances one side cannot accept the conditions.
A telephone conversation between Putin and American leader Donald Trump took place a day earlier. During the talks, the sides exchanged views on the situation in Ukraine and discussed a wide range of areas in which the United States and Russia could cooperate.
In addition, Putin supported Trump's idea of a mutual refusal of the Russian Federation and Ukraine from strikes on energy infrastructure for 30 days and immediately gave the Russian military the appropriate command. However, he clarified that it is necessary to stop the forced mobilization in Ukraine and the rearmament of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).
