Prosecutors revealed embezzlement of 4.5 billion rubles in the field of national projects

The prosecutor's office revealed embezzlement of 4.5 billion rubles in the field of national projects, 863 criminal cases were initiated. This was announced on March 19 at a meeting of the Board of the Prosecutor General's Office of the Russian Federation by the head of the department Igor Krasnov.

"Last year alone, according to the materials of the prosecutors, 863 criminal cases were initiated on embezzlement and other criminal encroachments of more than 4.5 billion rubles," he said.

The Prosecutor General added that in total, more than 91,000 violations were stopped, which allowed hundreds of social facilities to be put into operation for millions of fellow citizens.

He noted that national projects remain an effective tool for improving the quality of life in the country. 20 new national projects are being implemented in Russia, including "Family", "Youth and Children", "Personnel", and "Efficient and Competitive Economy".
