Agrotechnological education profile will be introduced in Russian schools

Starting from September 1, 2025, another profile of education will appear in Russian schools — agrotechnological. The relevant order of the Ministry of Education of Russia has been registered with the Ministry of Justice of Russia, the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture reported.
"Now educational institutions will be able to officially create specialized classes for training future personnel for the agro-industrial complex (AIC). Students will be able to get to know the industry better, visit agricultural enterprises and learn about modern technologies in agriculture. In—depth study of physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics will allow us to successfully prepare for admission to agricultural universities and colleges," the ministry explained.
The training of specialists for the industry is a key element of the new national project "Technological provision of food security". As part of this project, it is planned to create over 18,000 agrotechnological classes in Russia by 2030.
Last year, on December 19, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the importance of attracting personnel to work in agriculture. He urged to talk about this constantly, to create conditions for young people who would come and work with interest in this sector of the economy.
