Deputies of the Duma of the Stavropol Territory will check the effectiveness of the law on silence. The parliamentarians want to make sure that the amendments to the regional legislation introduced on March 1 are fully operational. They reported this on their social networks.

Members of the Duma at a meeting of the relevant committee reviewed the report on the work of the regional police in the past 2024. According to the State Traffic Inspectorate, more than 400 violations of the peace and quiet of residents were recorded on the roads alone.

The deputies also asked for information on the effectiveness of the law "on silence" in the current 2025 and asked the police to pay attention to high-speed electric bicycles and electric scooters that pose a danger to pedestrians.

According to the Stavropolmedia news agency, the new amendments imply the introduction of a daily quiet hour from 13:00 to 14:00 and an increase in fines for disturbing the peace of citizens.

Earlier, Izvestia told Russians how to deal with noisy neighbors. From a legal point of view, any sounds exceeding the norms established for daytime and nighttime are considered noise.
