Sheremetyevo Customs officers have identified five buckets of tetrahydrocannabinol disguised as plant extracts that arrived on a flight from Istanbul. This was announced on March 19 by the Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS of the Russian Federation).

"During the search activities, the operatives found the organizer of the production and sale of narcotic dietary supplements. It turned out to be a 47-year—old Russian, the CEO of the company," the Telegram channel says.

According to the Federal Customs Service, dietary supplements were produced and distributed through marketplaces throughout the country.

Law enforcement officers conducted searches in the suspect's apartment and found 3 kg of drugs, as well as 2 kg of prohibited substances in the warehouse. The suspect stated that he was confident in the legality of his goods.

A criminal case has been opened against him under Part 1 of Article 229.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Drug smuggling"). He faces three to seven years in prison with a possible fine of up to 1 million rubles.

On March 18, Khabarovsk police detained an attacker who was transporting drugs hidden in slow cookers. After picking up the goods at the logistics company's branch, the man went to the city of Vladivostok to sell them. In total, the transport police seized about 9 kg of mephedrone, 5 kg of N-methylephedrone and over 5,000 MDMA tablets weighing over 2.5 kg from illegal traffic.
