When looking for a job, you may encounter scammers. On March 20, the Deputy General Director of the Rabota service told Izvestia about how to avoid this.<url>", Alexander Veterkov, Chief Operating Officer of the SberPodbor service.

According to "Work.<url>", almost half of Russians (49%) have encountered fraudsters when looking for a job. Veterkov noted that there are several simple rules that can protect against fraud.

First of all, an employer should never require any prepayments, either for tuition or for paperwork. According to the law, he is obliged to bear all work-related expenses himself, the expert emphasized.

He added that Russians should also be careful with questionnaires — they should be wary if they contain a lot of personal questions that have nothing to do with professional skills. The data may be used for fraudulent purposes. You should never disclose confidential information (SNILS, bank card information, etc.) to unverified employers.

"Request an official registration. Avoid working without official employment, even if they promise a high salary "in an envelope" and subsequent registration. You may be deceived and not paid for the time you have worked," the expert said.

In addition, he advised to study the contract thoroughly. You should focus on the points that relate to your retirement savings — after signing such an agreement, you may be quickly fired, and you will lose your savings.

The specialist also recommended not to believe too tempting offers, to carefully study the company — the presence of a website, physical address, registration with tax authorities. Serious companies have a transparent history and online presence.

In addition, he stressed that fraudsters often put pressure on applicants, so the expert advised against rushing to a decision.

"Document everything. Keep all correspondence, documents, and messages related to job search — this can be useful in case of problems. Ask for advice if you are in doubt about anything. Discuss the situation with your family, friends, or employment consultants," he concluded.

On March 18, F6 told Izvestia about a new fraud scheme that involves stealing the accounts of Telegram users who are looking for work. After that, the attackers send messages to the contacts with an offer to take a survey on behalf of the United Russia party for money. To do this, it is suggested to download an application with a Trojan, after which money may be stolen from the victim's accounts.
