FSB officers detained a 46-year-old Kuban citizen on suspicion of treason.


In Kuban, employees of the Federal Security Service (UFSB) of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory detained a Russian citizen who is suspected of passing information about a military facility to the special services of Ukraine. The agency informed journalists about this on March 19.
"The Federal Security Service of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory has suppressed the illegal activities of a Russian citizen born in 1979 who was involved in high treason," the agency said in a statement.
According to the agency, a local resident voluntarily contacted representatives of the special services of Ukraine. After receiving the assignment, the man collected and transmitted information about the functioning of the military facility.
As a result, a criminal case was opened on the grounds of a crime under Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason").
Earlier, on March 17, a man was arrested in the Kherson region on suspicion of transmitting information to Ukraine. A criminal case was opened against the defendant in accordance with Article 275 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("High treason"). The accused faces imprisonment for up to 20 years.
