- In Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District, migrants will be banned from working in education and healthcare

New restrictions on the work of migrants are being introduced in Yamal. The goal is to strengthen the security of the region. Governor Dmitry Artyukhov gave the corresponding instruction to the Department of Regional Security and law enforcement agencies.
This includes banning migrants from working in education and healthcare. Since 2024, the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District has banned the work of migrants in the field of transport.
In addition, over the past five years, the authorities have increased the number of surveillance cameras seven times. At the end of 2025, another 1,000 cameras should be connected.
According to the head of Yamal, quoted by the <url> news agency, the development of the video surveillance system has already paid off — the number of crimes solved has increased significantly. The authorities take into account the concern of residents about the high percentage of migrants in the working environment.
Earlier, on March 14, Rosobrnadzor approved the minimum number of points for successful Russian language testing by migrant children. Three points will confirm compliance with the requirements for the level of knowledge of the Russian language. Testing will begin on April 1, 2025 and will be held for students entering schools from 1st to 11th grade.
