Victory Day in Crimea will be held without fireworks and mass events

Fireworks will not be launched in Crimea during the Victory Day celebrations in the current 2025. There are also no major public events planned, said the head of the republic, Sergey Aksenov.
"Everything that concerns external forms of respect will be achieved after we reach the end and achievement of the goal of the special military operation," Aksyonov said on the Rossiya—24 TV channel, quoted by the news agency SevastopolMedia.
As the head of Crimea emphasized, there is no need to make people hostages of the political situation and frighten them with loud noises in the conditions of ITS implementation. The celebration on May 9th will be held in the same way as last year.
In 2025, May 9 marks the 80th anniversary of victory in the Great Patriotic War. In January 1945, the Soviet army launched an offensive against Berlin. As a result of the fighting, at 00:43 Moscow time on May 9, the commanders-in-chief signed the act of unconditional surrender of Germany, which served as the end of the war.
On the occasion of the anniversary, Izvestia launched a special project "80 days to Victory." It publishes articles from Izvestia during the war, the full list of which can be found in the electronic archive.
