A new trick of scammers to withdraw money to accounts has become known

Scammers began to turn to Russians with an offer to transfer money for a reward using the details of the alleged lottery winners, thus withdrawing money to their accounts. RIA Novosti warns about this on March 19, citing data from the Center for Legal Assistance to Citizens in the Digital Environment.
"To droppers (figureheads involved in criminal schemes. They offer to perform simple tasks, such as transferring money to lottery "winners" or cashing out funds for a small fee," the Center reports.
By agreeing to this, a gullible person will actually transfer funds not to the winners of the sweepstakes, but to the scammers. And this money was most likely previously stolen using other schemes, experts said.
A day earlier, on March 18, the State Duma adopted in the first reading a draft law on combating telephone and Internet fraud. The document provides for the possibility of operational data exchange between government agencies, banks and digital platforms. It is noted that monitoring suspicious transactions will make it possible to detect fraudulent schemes almost instantly, block them, and then transfer them to law enforcement agencies.
