- In Gaza, more than 1 million people will be left without food due to the ban on the import of aid.

More than a million people in the Gaza Strip will be left without food in March if humanitarian aid supplies do not resume. This was reported on March 18 in a report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).
"Israel's suspension of all humanitarian and commercial aid supplies since March 2 threatens to quickly undo the hard—won gains in food security achieved over the 42 days of the cease-fire," the document emphasized.
It is specified that stocks are quickly running out. As an attempt to cope with food shortages, it was decided to reduce assistance to families in Gaza. The distribution of flour and fresh food has been suspended, and the preparation of hot dishes in some public kitchens has been reduced.
For example, 80 out of 170 kitchens may close within one to two weeks due to food shortages if supplies, including fuel, are not resumed.
Earlier in the day, Dmitry Polyansky, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations, said at a meeting of the United Nations Security Council on the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip that Russia condemns Israel's resumption of airstrikes in Gaza and calls for the lifting of restrictions on humanitarian operations throughout the occupied Palestinian territory.
On March 18, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced the resumption of military operations against the Palestinian Hamas movement in Gaza. As a result of the Israeli airstrikes, more than 1,000 people were injured, and the death toll increased to 310. The media also said that Israel had warned the administration of US President Donald Trump in advance about the resumption of attacks on Gaza.
