- The operators of the FPV drones of the Phoenix battalion showed footage of combat work in their area.

Operators of FPV drones of the Phoenix special mining battalion have released footage of a combat mission for the Southern Group of Forces. This was announced on March 19 by the press service of the Ministry of Defense.
"The FPV drone crews are working daily on the line of combat contact. The unit uses drones for various tasks: defeating enemy equipment and personnel, destroying enemy antennas and repeaters, remotely installing engineering barriers, clearing mines, and for reconnaissance purposes," the department said.
During the day, military personnel of the unit can make up to 10 sorties to the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). According to the fighters, one of the most important stages before being sent on a mission is the preliminary preparation of ammunition. Military sappers are working on this.
"The skill and experience of a UAV operator is only 50% of a successful result during a combat mission. The success of the operation is influenced by weather conditions, flight range, and the operation of enemy electronic warfare," the Ministry of Defense said.
A day earlier, airborne gunners destroyed the AFU UAV control center near Chasova Yar. It is specified that the combat crews of the unit strike at enemy manpower and equipment, as well as at strong points and long-term firing points. On March 17, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation showed footage of the defeat of the Bogdan self-propelled guns of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv region.
