The administration of US President Donald Trump is trying to find a solution to reinstate more than 24,000 civil servants who were previously dismissed under the pretext of reducing government spending. This was reported on March 18 by NBC News.

"The administration of President Donald Trump has announced that it is taking measures to restore more than 24,000 employees on probation who were laid off as part of efforts to reduce the size of the federal workforce," the channel reports, citing court documents.

It is reported that officials have already submitted documents and declarations that "detail the efforts of their teams to re-hire dismissed workers in order to comply with court orders." Prior to that, two federal judges ordered the temporary reinstatement of employees who were on probation at the time of their dismissal, NBC said.

On March 7, Trump called for officials who neglect their duties to be fired in his speech. The American leader also noted that if cabinet members refuse to make cuts, then the head of the Department of State Efficiency (DOGE), Ilon Mask, will have to deal with this.
