Zakharova accused the Biden administration of deceiving and destroying Ukraine

The administration of former US President Joe Biden deceived and destroyed Ukraine. This was announced on Tuesday, March 18, by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, in an interview with former American intelligence officer and former UN inspector Scott Ritter.

"The way they were deceived, I mean the Ukrainian people, Ukrainians and the state of Ukraine — how they were deceived by people in Washington, how they were deceived by [former US President Joe] Biden, how they were deceived by [former US Deputy Secretary of State Victoria] Nuland, how they were deceived by [former US Secretary of State Anthony] Blinken and all the others are an incomparable deception <...>. They were deceived, they were betrayed, they were destroyed," the video of the interview was published on Zakharova's Telegram channel.

According to her, Ukraine, having begun to build a "young democracy," fell victim to corruption and nationalism.

"The way they played on it, and the way they were deceived on it, is beyond cruelty," Zakharova commented.
