The Mi-28 military helicopter that crashed on March 18 in the Leningrad Region was flying without ammunition on board. Anastasia Repikova, a correspondent for Izvestia, reported this from the scene.
"The crew members died on the spot. There were two people on board. According to the Ministry of Defense, the flight was conducted without ammunition," she said.
It is reported that residents of several nearby villages were able to see the moment of the fall.
The helicopter crash was reported earlier in the day, on March 18. The crash occurred in a deserted area. A rescue team is currently working at the crash site, and the Russian Aerospace Forces (VKS) commission has also gone there.
