Okulov positively assessed the possible holding of a match between the KHL and the NHL

Konstantin Okulov, a player of the Avangard hockey Club, commented on the possibility of a match between the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) and the National Hockey League (NHL).

"In such a match, I would have played with great pleasure. I wish our sports would start returning to the big games sooner," he told Izvestia.

According to the hockey player, due to the existing restrictions for Russians, many athletes are forced to skip competitions that can happen "once in a lifetime."

"If this is the first step towards playing for the [Russian] national team, then it will be awesome," Okulov concluded.
