Hamas announced its readiness to consider Witkoff's plan for the Gaza Strip

The radical Palestinian movement Hamas is ready to consider a cease-fire plan in the Gaza Strip, which was previously proposed by US Special Envoy Stephen Witkoff. This was announced on March 18 by a member of the Hamas political bureau, Osama Hamdan.
"What Witkoff proposed is an attempt to withdraw from an already signed agreement and conclude a new one. <...> However, we were ready to be positive about Witkoff's plan," he told Al Jazeera television.
At the same time, the condition for such a step would be a gradual transition to the next stage of the agreement.
On March 18, the IDF announced the resumption of military operations against the Palestinian radical movement Hamas in Gaza. As a result of the Israeli airstrikes, more than 1,000 people were injured, and the death toll increased to 310. The media also said that Israel had warned the administration of US President Donald Trump in advance about the resumption of attacks on Gaza.
