The Hungarian parliament has adopted a resolution against the country's participation in the European Union's (EU) military loans under the rearmament program, including funds for arming Ukraine. This is evidenced by the data of the document, which is transmitted by the TASS news agency.

According to the publication, 138 parliamentarians voted for the resolution, 29 opposed it and one abstained.

"Parliament <...> opposes joint European borrowings necessary to finance this program in the amount of up to €150 billion," the document says.

At the same time, Hungary recognizes the importance of strengthening Europe's defense potential.

The head of the European Commission (EC), Ursula von der Leyen, announced on March 6 that during the summit in Brussels, EU leaders agreed on an 800 billion euro plan for the militarization of Europe.

Before the summit, she said that ReArm EU provides for investments in the military-industrial complex (MIC) of Ukraine and financing arms supplies to Kiev. She also clarified that the European side wants "peaceful force" in the settlement issue.
