The IV Moscow Fashion Week has ended in the Manege

On March 18, the IV Moscow Fashion Week ended in the Moscow Manege. On the last day of the event, there were shows by young Russian designers.
One of the key trends of the past fashion week was the participants' appeal to what was recently considered archaic — old Russian styles, Yelets lace and natural fabrics could be seen at the shows.
Against the background of the withdrawal of Western fashion designers and brands from the domestic market, Russian couturiers are actively exploring their own identity.
"I'm from Ivanovo, and it's known to be the textile capital of Russia. I took this style with a Russian folk costume, for example, sundresses and ties, and reinterpreted it in our manner," said designer Maria Kabatova.
The departure of Western brands has opened up great economic opportunities for Russian designers — new trading platforms and audiences have become available to them.
Fashion week was also attended by fashion designers from other countries: the USA, China, India, South Africa, Turkey and many others.
"I really like colors, bright shades. When I arrived in Moscow, I noticed that many of the costumes here are very serious, as if I bring something fresh and new," American Pia Lindsey shared.
On the same day, stylist Sergey Zverev told Izvestia that the collections of the participants of the Moscow Fashion Week were no worse or even better than the European ones. In general, he described this year's event as very strong.
