In Tula, a carsharing car crashed into a concrete power line pole. The driver was taken to the hospital, TSN24 reports, citing the regional State Traffic Inspectorate.

The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, March 18, on Kalinin Street. According to preliminary data, an 18-year-old girl lost control of a rented Volkswagen Polo car.

The car crashed into a power line pole. The driver suffered various injuries and was taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

On March 4, it was reported that the State Duma proposed restricting access to carsharing services to people under the age of 21, as well as installing alcohol pumps and a speed limit of up to 120 km/h in carsharing vehicles. This initiative was made by Yaroslav Nilov, head of the State Duma Committee on Social Policy (LDPR), who drew attention to an accident that occurred in February in Nizhny Novgorod, when an 18-year-old carsharing driver flew into a public transport stop at a speed of 150 km/h. Two women were killed and five more people were injured.
