Rosaviatsia plans to complete the certification of the AN-2 cargo and passenger aircraft by mid-2025. This was announced on March 18 by the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Dmitry Yadrov.

"We currently have a cargo and passenger version. I think we should complete the certification of the cargo and passenger version by the middle of this year," he said at a meeting of the State Duma Committee on Transport and Transport Infrastructure Development.

According to Yadrov, import substitution of the power plant will be considered later. He clarified that the issue of which engine will be TVD—10, VK-800 or VK-1600 is currently being worked out.

Anton Alikhanov, the head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, announced on March 17 that plans to make the first certification flight of a fully import-substituted MC-21 aircraft with a Russian PD-14 engine would take place in June-July of this year.
