Sobyanin announced free cardiovascular surgeries for Muscovites

Three types of innovative high-tech cardiovascular surgeries are now available to Muscovites for free, Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin said in his Telegram channel. Additional funding has already been allocated for their implementation, and Muscovites will receive appropriate types of assistance if they have evidence.

The first type of surgery was endovascular removal of blood clots from the main veins.

"Previously, patients with venous thrombosis were treated mainly with anticoagulants, the effectiveness of which was limited. Now doctors perform minimally invasive interventions through a small puncture, delivering instruments to the site of thrombosis through the vascular network. This reduces the risk of complications and accelerates recovery," Sergei Sobyanin explained.

In addition, operations for the re-prosthetics of arteries using bioprostheses, as well as ultrasound transcatheter thrombolysis, will be available to Muscovites. The use of these methods increases the safety of treatment and the speed of recovery after surgery.
