A student from Russia has been found dead on campus in Athens. This was reported on March 18 by the publication FoititikaNea.

They noted that the 19-year-old boy lived in Greece under a student exchange program.

"The police and the ambulance service went to the scene, but according to the information available at the moment, it can be assumed that it was suicide," the publication says.

It is specified that law enforcement agencies are currently investigating the causes and circumstances of the incident.

A representative of the Russian Embassy told RIA Novosti that the Greek authorities had not yet informed the Russian diplomatic mission about the incident.

In February, it was reported that a group of tourists was swept away by the current in the Philippines while diving, and two Russians died. It was noted that there were four Russian divers — two were able to escape together with the instructor. The dead were 29-year-old Ilya Peregudin and 39-year-old Maxim Melekhov.
