Leshchenko spoke about the nobility and talent of Bedros Kirkorov

On March 18, Soviet and Russian pop singer, People's Artist of the RSFSR Lev Leshchenko told Izvestia about the People's Artist of the Russian Federation Bedros Kirkorov. Leshchenko noted that he studied with Kirkorov at the Russian Institute of Theater Arts (GITIS).
"I entered GITIS when he was graduating. And since then, since 1964, we have been communicating, so to speak, without ceasing: festivals, trips, performances on radio, on television," the artist recalled.
Kirkorov was a noble, moderate man and never spoke ill of anyone, Leshchenko stressed.
"A very smart person. And he is definitely a good musician, singer and just a talented person," the singer said.
Bedros Kirkorov's death was announced earlier that day by his son Philip Kirkorov. The cause of death was cardiac arrest.
The artist was born in Bulgaria in 1932. He graduated from a vocational school with a degree in fashion shoemaker, as well as a music college. In 1962, Kirkorov came to Moscow and enrolled in the second year of GITIS. He became the first foreign student of the institution and the first foreigner to be awarded the title of People's Artist of Russia.
