Skolkovo exhibition with robots and spacecraft opens in the State Duma

The exhibition "Skolkovo: 15 years of Innovation" opened in the passage between the buildings of the State Duma. Visitors will be able to get acquainted with the achievements of the innovation center, iconic products of resident companies and startups.
According to Maxim Topilin, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Economic Policy, the exhibition turned out to be "one of the most advanced organized within the walls of the State Duma."
"This was the first innovative breakthrough, an innovative project," he remarked, recalling the origins of Skolkovo. — Now we call it "digital experiments". And then it was an attempt to get away from standard regulation, an attempt to build a system of certain benefits that was completely unconventional for those times in terms of management, a team recruitment project that allowed us to create new breakthroughs in pharmaceutical activities, in space, in new materials, and in supporting people with disabilities."
"Skolkovo began here, on Okhotny Ryad," said Sergey Perov, Chairman of the Foundation's Management Board. "That basic law was not easy to develop, there were many heated discussions. We have returned to the State Duma many times with amendments to our basic federal law, because life does not stand still. We are very grateful that we have always found support, feedback, and constructive criticism," he said.
More than 30 residents are demonstrating their developments as part of the general exhibition. Visitors will be able to learn here about the technologies used in UAVs, about communication devices and systems for data collection and processing. The space technology zone features spacecraft from the Foundation's graduate, the Sputnix company.
"With the support of Skolkovo, a world-class center for the development and production of spacecraft for various purposes has been established. We highly appreciate the opportunities provided — the excellent infrastructure with modern laboratories, participation in exhibitions and business missions, the social environment and events that help to popularize the industry and attract talented young people," said Vladislav Ivanenko, CEO of Sputnix.
A significant part of the exhibition is devoted to solutions in the field of prosthetics. Here you can see bionic prostheses of different body parts, a functional carbon fiber foot module, and a hydraulic knee module with microprocessor control based on information from acceleration, rotation angle, temperature, and pressure sensors.
"The Skolkovo resident status provides us with access to modern infrastructure and professional expert support, which has a qualitative impact on the development of our bionic prostheses. Participation in the Foundation's initiatives and events helps to establish key partnerships and increase awareness of our technologies," said Ivan Khudyakov, Founder and CEO of Steplife.
During the exhibition, visitors will be able to get acquainted with the Promobot robot, which can move independently, answer questions, and connect to external systems at home or office.
There is also a TBC turnstile designed to temporarily stop intense bleeding in case of injuries to the arteries of the arms and legs. This is the only turnstile that is completely manufactured in Russia and has the status of a medical device, which is confirmed by the relevant registration certificate.
At the exhibition, you can explore the technology of building houses using 3D printers. These devices allow you to automate the construction process. Printers create a non-removable formwork where building materials and insulation materials are poured. As a result, the construction of houses is going faster.
Skoltech projects are also presented here. One of them is the Vibat company, which develops vanadium energy storage systems. The technology is based on the use of flow-through batteries, which make it possible to create energy-efficient hubs that can significantly improve the quality and volume of electricity supplied.
Another project is "Laboratory on a Chip". The microfluidic systems of this platform are designed for high-precision control and analysis of liquids at the microscopic level. Such technologies are widely used in science and industry, in particular, in the research activities of the oil and gas industry.
Denis Kravchenko, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, said that the exhibition is timed to coincide with the 15th anniversary of the creation of the Skolkovo Foundation. "Our committee accompanies the activities of VEB.The Russian Federation, under whose umbrella Skolkovo also operates. As part of this close cooperation, together with Sergey Evgenievich Perov, Chairman of the Foundation's Board, we have agreed to hold an important exhibition, which will be open for a week," he said.
The grand opening of the exhibition took place on March 18, the exposition will be open until March 21.
