The State Duma (State Duma) awarded Russian Alexander Yudaev, who shot down a drone of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) with a gun. On March 18, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin presented him with a certificate of honor for his personal contribution to ensuring the safety of Russian citizens.

"A man who committed an act and contributed to ensuring the safety of citizens' lives. Protecting his family, who were potentially in danger when the drones attacked Moscow, he did not watch them fly by, but shot one down," Volodin said.

He stressed that Russia is rich in its heroes — people who will always come to the rescue, lend a shoulder, and do everything to protect civilians.

"I have fulfilled my civic duty. I knew that behind me was my city of Ozery, the city of Moscow and, in general, our great Homeland. I didn't doubt for a minute that I was doing everything right," the awarded Russian shared.

During a massive drone attack on the Moscow region on March 11, former policeman Alexander shot down one of the drones with a shotgun to prevent the drone from flying towards the city. The man stated that his police training and experience with weapons helped to make an accurate shot at night.
