All countries of the Global South can be involved in the North-South international transport corridor, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexei Overchuk told Izvestia on March 18.

"We consider North-South primarily as an international transport corridor that provides connections between the ports of our northwest and access to Iran, the ports of the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean, and from there you can go anywhere. First of all, we look at the fact that "North-South" is a connection between Russia, the EAEU and the countries of the Global South. Therefore, potentially all countries of the Global South can be involved in the North-South International Transport Cooperation," Overchuk said.
