Poland accused of mistreatment of migrants on the border with Belarus

The Polish Border Guard has resorted to excessive use of force against migrants on the border with Belarus. This was reported on March 18 by Politico, citing human rights organizations Oxfam and Egala.
According to them, Polish border guards beat asylum seekers, shoot at them with rubber bullets, strip them naked and unleash dogs on them. There are also cases of refusals to provide medical care to pregnant women.
Human rights activists have called on the authorities of the European Union (EU) to investigate violations of European legislation by Poland, the newspaper said.
In February, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that the country would not comply with the "Migration Pact" adopted by the European Union and accept migrants.
Polish border guards on the border with Belarus often commit illegal acts against those who want to cross the border. On January 5, Polish border guards beat up a refugee from Senegal and threw him into Belarusian territory. The man was exhausted and could not move independently.
