In the city of Asha, Chelyabinsk region, the water level on the Sim River rose sharply, as a result of which a local emergency (emergency) regime was introduced. This was announced on March 18 by the head of the municipal district of the city Vadim Sergeev.

"Due to the sudden formation of congestion in the northern part of the Sim River, flooding occurred in two districts of the city of Asha. A local emergency mode has been introduced on a number of city streets," he wrote on the VKontakte social network.

He clarified that 26 households are currently in the flood zone. Meanwhile, the staff of the Ministry of Emergency Situations carry out yard rounds to evacuate residents.

According to Sergeev, a temporary accommodation facility for the victims was set up in a hotel in Asha. They will be provided with a place to stay and food, as well as assistance from social workers.

On the same day, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported flooding of 31 household plots due to rising water levels on the Sim River. The ministry added that a working group with unmanned aerial vehicles and the forces of a specialized fire and rescue unit went to the scene.

On March 12, the Governor of the Tyumen Region, Alexander Moore, told about the unfavorable forecast from the specialists of the Center for hydrometeorology for flooding in the Ishim River. According to weather forecasters, the water level on the river is expected to be above the long-term average. They claim that from mid-April, the indicators will exceed the mark of a dangerous phenomenon in the settlements of Kazansky.
