Berlin residents went to the Bundestag to participate in a protest against the bill on amendments to the Basic Law of Germany, which will increase government spending on defense. This was announced on March 18 by a correspondent of Izvestia.

The protesters unfurled a banner calling for the adoption of amendments aimed at building up military capabilities. Some demonstrators are holding signs with inscriptions: "We don't pay for your wars," "Help Ukraine by closing the Foreign Ministry," and others.

"This is not about defense at all, but about preparing for aggressive military action," said one of the protesters.

Earlier, on March 9, Hamburg Airport suspended operations due to the start of a strike by the Ver.di trade union a day before a planned 24-hour protest in almost all German airports. According to the Bild newspaper, the union is demanding an 8% salary increase, or at least €350 per month, as well as an increase in bonuses and additional vacation time.

On the same day, an anti-war rally in Madrid gathered more than 100 people protesting against support for Ukraine and the continuation of the conflict.
