The Investigative Committee has established the circumstances of the murder of two women in the Kursk region by AFU militants.

The circumstances of the murder of two more women in the Kursk region by militants of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) have been established. This was announced on March 18 by the official representative of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation Svetlana Petrenko.

According to the investigation, in August 2024, the Ukrainian military attacked two civilian vehicles in which the family was trying to evacuate from the village of Kurilovka, Sudzhansky district. A pregnant woman died as a result of the shelling. Actions are being carried out to identify the body of the deceased.

In addition, in February of this year, in the village of Pogrebki in the Sudzha district, Ukrainian Armed Forces militants found an elderly married couple in a basement. It is specified that they first threw a grenade, and subsequently shot the woman in the presence of her husband.

Petrenko also said that in the course of working with local residents, it turned out that no later than the beginning of February, Ukrainian army soldiers fired at a civilian car in which people were trying to evacuate the village of Kazachya Loknya. As a result, one person was injured.

"The investigation will identify and bring to justice all representatives of the Armed Formations of Ukraine involved in these crimes," Petrenko was quoted as saying on the Telegram channel of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.
