New Foton Tunland pickups presented in Russia


MB RUS company presented full-size Foton Tunland V7 and V9 pickups in Moscow. The start of sales is scheduled for the second quarter of 2025, the Izvestia correspondent reports from the company's press conference on March 18.
The overall dimensions of both models are the same — 5617x2090x1955 mm, wheelbase — 3355 mm. The clearance of the V7 is 210 mm, the V9 is 240 mm. The maximum allowed weight is 3055 kg, the load capacity is up to 775 kg. The size of the cargo platform is 1577x1650x530 mm.
The new models are equipped with a two-liter turbodiesel engine with a capacity of 159 hp (410 Nm) paired with a 6-speed manual transmission (V7) or an 8-speed automatic transmission (V9). The power plant includes a 48-volt hybrid system that provides an additional 60 Nm of torque (more than 80 Nm at peak loads).
Both pickups have an automatic all-wheel drive system with a plug-in clutch and electric interlocks for the front and rear axle wheel differentials. There are seven driving modes. The V7 has a spring—loaded rear suspension, while the V9 has a spring-loaded rear suspension. Front — independent on double wishbones with stabilizer.
Both models will be available in the same configuration. The list of options includes dual-zone climate control, panoramic roof, all-round viewing system, adaptive cruise control and other driving assistants, multimedia with a 14.6-inch screen and Apple CarPlay support, a standard DVR, wireless charging for a smartphone and other options.
The V9 pickup has memory for the front seats and mirrors, ventilation and heated front seats, as well as heated rear row. Both models are equipped with six airbags.
On February 27, it was reported that Russia recorded a historical record for sales of new pickups for the year. By the end of last year, 29.2 thousand such cars were sold in the country, with an annual increase of 65%.
