The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Andriy Sibiga, said that Kiev is ready to end the conflict this year. He stated this on March 18 during a speech at the Raisin Dialogue conference in New Delhi.

"After Jeddah, we have a different speed, new additional opportunities to end this conflict this year, and we are ready for that. We are not an obstacle to achieving peace," Sibiga said.

He also noted that the Ukrainian authorities supported the US initiatives, including a 30-day ceasefire.

In addition, Sibiga expressed the hope that after the telephone conversation between the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, much would become clearer.

Earlier, on March 11, Ukraine, during negotiations with the United States in the city of Jeddah in Saudi Arabia, expressed its readiness for a 30-day ceasefire.

The American delegation to the Jeddah talks included Secretary of State Marco Rubio and White House National Security Adviser Mike Waltz. Kiev was represented by the head of the office of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, Andrei Ermak, Minister of Defense Rustem Umerov and Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Sibiga.
