The Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation will develop proposals for "large-scale privatization." This was announced on March 18 by the head of the department Anton Siluanov at an expanded meeting of the Board of the Federal Property Management Agency.

"In our opinion, now is the time when it would be possible to put this issue on the agenda again in 2025," TASS quoted him as saying.

Siluanov stressed that it is necessary to develop new strategies for the development of state-owned companies in order to increase their participation in achieving national goals.

On July 4, 2024, the Federal Property Management Agency informed Izvestia that at the end of June 2024, revenues from the privatization of corporate assets, as well as state treasury property, amounted to 11.1 billion rubles. The initial forecast for such revenues provided for only 1.2 billion rubles at the end of last year, follows from the adopted budget for this three-year period. Thus, following the results of only six months, the proceeds from the sale of state property exceeded the plan by 10 times.
