Hunting supervision failed to catch a tiger that attacked a forester in Primorye

For now, a tiger remains at large, which mauled a forester in a forest in Primorsky Krai. A week has passed since the tragic incident.

PrimaMedia news agency clarifies that last weekend there was information on the network that the Hunting Supervision staff still managed to track down the tiger that attacked the man. But he was injured, and much more dangerously than expected. The tiger wouldn't let anyone near him.

On March 12, it was reported that the forester and his assistant were in the forest far from populated areas in the Krasnoarmeysky district when the attack occurred. The agency clarifies that at the time of the predator's attack, the forester was alone, and his assistant remained in the car. Without waiting for a friend, he left for help.

According to these data, the forester was concurrently a deputy of the municipal committee of the Izmailikhinsky rural settlement. The regional Ministry of Forestry, Environmental Protection, Wildlife and Natural Resources reported that the deceased had been working in forestry since 1996.
