The Tobolsk City Court has placed Sergei Poluyanov and welder Nikita Konstantinov, accused of blowing up an apartment building in Tobolsk, under house arrest. This was announced on March 18 by the press service of the united judicial system of the Tyumen region.

"By court order, Nikita Konstantinov and Sergey Poluyanov were given a preventive measure in the form of house arrest for a period of 1 month and 27 days, until May 11, 2025," the statement said.

According to preliminary investigation data, construction and installation work was carried out on the gas pipeline along Roshchinsky Lane, which did not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers. As a result, the gas-air mixture leaked and accumulated in the room of the destroyed house.

It is clarified that the decree has not entered into force.

A gas explosion in a private house in Tobolsk occurred on Wednesday, March 12. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case under Part 1 of Article 219 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Violation of fire safety requirements").

On March 15, it became known that a child injured in a gas explosion in a private house in Tobolsk died in hospital. According to Alexander Moore, Governor of the Tyumen region, the Tyumen Burn Center uses the most modern technologies, doctors with extensive experience work there, but the injuries sustained in the fire turned out to be too serious.
