The work of polyclinics was extended in the EAO

The clinics of the EAO are now open until 20:00. Doctors started working in the evening as well. This is done for the convenience of patients. The evening appointment is conducted not only by general practitioners, but also by specialized specialists. So, the district general practitioner and the paramedic of the polyclinic of the regional hospital receive patients daily on weekdays from 8:00 to 20:00. Specialized specialists such as an otolaryngologist, cardiologist, surgeon and ophthalmologist are available from 8:00 to 18:00. The urologist works additionally on Thursday from 8:00 to 18:00 and on Saturday from 8:00 to 13:00.

A pediatrician sees a pediatrician at the children's hospital every day until 20:00. An orthopedist, an otolaryngologist, and an endocrinologist work several days a week in the evenings. In Birobidzhan, the dental clinic is open until 20:00. Emergency care is also available on Saturdays and Sundays.

According to Anastasia Martynova, Acting head of the Regional Department of Health, evening receptions proved to be especially in demand in Birobidzhan. This is done for the convenience of patients, so that when they come home from work, they have time to visit a doctor or take a child to him.

Earlier, on March 4, the Chairman of the Federation Council, Valentina Matvienko, said at the Women for a Healthy Society forum that Russia had significantly strengthened the primary healthcare sector. According to her, polyclinics and district city hospitals are being built all over the country, and new paramedic and obstetric centers are being opened. Matvienko added that oncological and perinatal centers are also developing dynamically in the regions. According to her, Russia has reached the lowest infant mortality rates in the country's history.
